Dawn Ward, B.A., RMT D.O.M.P.(candidate)
Registered Massage Therapist, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (Candidate 2020)
After finishing my degree in 1994 at McMaster University, I moved to British Columbia where I spent the next four years enjoying the outdoors, camping, hiking and canoeing. Returning to Ontario in 1998 to pursue my career in Massage Therapy, I studied at the Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington. After graduating in 2000, I began practicing with the team at the Headon Chiropractic and Massage Therapy Clinic.
In 2017 wanting to increase my skill set to better serve my clientele, I embarked on a complementary journey with Osteopathy. I am currently enrolled in my final year of a post graduate program at the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy. Once finished I will have earned a Diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Practice. I currently incorporate osteopathic principles in all my massage therapy treatments. My specialty lies in craniosacral therapy for which I have completed extensive training, focusing on concussion and paediatric care.
My passion for health has led me to complete a teachers training course in the Stott Pilates method. My love for traveling has taken me on many adventures to Europe, Asia and Central America. When I am not biking and skiing with my family and friends, I relax by swimming, reading and knitting.
